Meet Our Leadership Team
Tony Forino established the Forino Co., L.P. in 1975 and is currently the Founder & CEO.
Tony began his construction career after high school in his family’s construction company. In 1971, he entered into a partnership with his father and brother-in-law to create a general contracting company. After five years, they purchased their first residential lots and began selling single-family homes. By 1983, both of his previous partners left the company and it was left to Tony to continue the company. For the next 23 years, he worked diligently and the company became the home-builder in Berks County for single-family residential homes. In 2006, Tony could sense a turn in the market and started an in-house engineering firm, which began doing more residential remodeling projects while becoming certified with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. In 2011, Tony opened the company to another business unit, building multifamily housing and apartment complexes. Tony is extremely active in the day-to-day operations of the company and enjoys working in the field with his employees.
Tony is originally from Montgomery County and is a graduate of Archbishop Wood Catholic School for Boys. He currently resides in Sinking Spring, PA with his wife, Sandy. He has three daughters and six grandchildren. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys traveling and exercising.
John Smith joined the Forino Co., L.P. in February 1996 as Vice President. In May of 2019, John was promoted to President of Forino Co., L.P. He is responsible for the daily operations of the company, including supply chain management, guidance to business units and implementing plans to attain organizational goals.
John has over 25 years of general management experience and carries a Master Planners Certification. He understands the innate operational functions of all business units associated with the firm, and is recognized for his strengths in efficiency combined with a strong background in finance and management. He has been able to develop numerous business relationships with key industry suppliers to provide top quality products and services for the firm’s customers. John has served his community and industry through various positions, including serving on the Board of Directors of Home Builders Association of Berks County and the Berks County Conservation District. Prior to joining Forino, John was the General Manager of the Golden Oaks Golf Club. He was responsible for all operations, staffing and business development. He also helped design the clubhouse and the golf course.
Currently living in Hardeeville, SC John enjoys traveling and playing golf. Both of his children are college graduates from prestigious universities. His son is a project engineer for a global pipelining company, while his daughter is an elementary teacher in North Carolina.
Eileen Hauptly has been with the Forino organization since 1986. She is responsible for all accounting, finance and insurance matters for Forino and several related companies. She obtains the financing needed for all acquisitions and construction activities, and manages the accounting staff. Eileen works closely with the company’s lenders and bonding companies to provide complete monthly financial reporting. With over 30 years of service with Forino, she understands the complexities of the industry and the information required by lenders, insurance, bonding and title companies for the ongoing operations of the company.
Lisa joined Forino Co., L.P. as the Director of Sales in September 2015 when the company opened its’ In-House Sales Office. In May of 2019, Lisa was promoted to Vice President of Forino Co., L.P. Lisa oversees the sales operations for all of Forino’s Berks and Schuylkill County communities in addition to client management for Commercial and Multifamily Construction projects. .
Lisa holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bucknell University and started her career as an Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LP. After obtaining her CPA, she decided to pursue her real estate license. Lisa has been practicing real estate for 14 years and spent most of her career with Coldwell Banker Preferred in Old City, Philadelphia. After just two years in the business, Lisa created a team and sharpened her focus to the booming condo market. Lisa and her team sold multi-million dollars of real estate in the Philadelphia area and on the Main Line. Among her nearly 300 real estate transactions, over 100 of them were in one condo building alone! During her career, Lisa has obtained multiple real estate designations including the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Certified Negotiation Specialist (CNS).
She has enjoyed developing and maintaining strong relationships with Buyers, Sellers, Landlords, Renters and especially other REALTORS®. Lisa is eager to bring her expertise to the family business and build the in-house sales office at Forino. She is a graduate of Holy Name High School, and lives in Ardmore, PA with her husband, Mark, and two daughters. In addition to spending time with her family, Lisa is an avid CrossFit athlete and loves to cook.
Gary has been with Forino since 1992. Since beginning his career at Forino on the concrete crew, Gary has worked in many different field jobs. He has since been promoted to the Senior Project Manager/Field Coordinator for Forino. He most enjoys working with internal personnel to better serve his external customers and their construction needs.
Gary is a graduate of Wilson High School and he is ACI certified to field test concrete. As a resident of Wernersville, PA, Gary lives with his wife and is the proud father of two sons and two grandsons. When he is not working, Gary enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing or grilling on the BBQ.
Shawn is a 1991 graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School and Lebanon County Vo-Tech with a degree in Carpentry. After high school, Shawn worked for Schaeffer and Sons in Hershey, PA along with Glen Weaver Framing and Blue Lake Builders. During his career, Shawn has become adept in carpentry and residential remodeling work.
Shawn came to Forino in 1995 as a framing foreman and was promoted to Customer Service Manager in 1999. Later Shawn transitioned to Project Manager of multi-family and commercial construction as Forino moved towards a new segment. Shawn currently handles all pricing and framing schedules/take-offs for residential construction.
Along with his wife and two children, Shawn resides in Newmanstown and enjoys hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
After Graduating from Pottsville Area High School in 1978, Chuck Halsey moved on to the Carpentry Program at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Once his degree was completed, Chuck worked for a small remodeling contractor before working for Pinebrook Custom Homes in Schuylkill County. Forino acquired Chuck as a Supervisor in April of 1996 with 16 years of experience. During his career, Chuck has managed multiple projects such as land development, single housing, multi-unit housing and also worked on student housing projects in the Kutztown area.
Chuck is the proud father to two children and grandfather of two. His hobbies include spending time with his family and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, especially while fishing and hunting. Chuck moved to South Carolina in January of 2018 and is the Senior Project Manager for our South Carolina office!
Brandon joined Forino Co., L.P. as the Director of Marketing in May of 2016, previously holding the role of Director of Sales for a Reading, Pa based boutique marketing agency. In February of 2019, Brandon was promoted to Director of Marketing & Business Development. Brandon is responsible for the corporate brand, community relations, strategic growth of commercial business, and multi-family construction projects.
Brandon graduated from Alvernia University, Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Marketing. Beginning with an eleven year tenure with locally known competitor Greth Homes, Brandon executed all facets of design, campaign strategy, advertising in both print and digital format, web strategy, and co-managed the development of their in-house sales division. Brandon also became a top producer as a Sales Customer Associate during his last three years with the company, closing over $5 million in sales during that time. His mental strength and commitment to adapting to the ever-changing market allowed him to position the builder for success during the transition from one of the local real estate market’s most extreme high’s in 2004, through the extreme low’s in 2006-2010. Through many volatile changes, business culture shifts, and financial challenges Brandon helped the company weather the storm and see improved new home sales and contract revenue prior to his departure in June of 2015.
During his young career with Forino, Brandon has been an integral player in the firm’s success with implementation of the first property management system to eliminate lost revenue and debt collections for a rental portfolio of 275+ units. His exceptional writing has been leveraged in a multitude of ways for marketing and legal communications. The firm’s social media presence has seen significant increases in followers and interaction thanks to strategic, high quality posting to increase brand awareness.
Brandon resides in Spring Township with his wife, Dana Riegel a Realtor with Re/Max of Reading and their two children, Addison & Jaxon.
Kurt joined Forino at the beginning of 2015 with thirty plus years in the concrete industry behind him. Along with being an experienced concrete Estimator and Project Manager, Kurt has obtained a Sales Certification from Dale Carnegie along with being certified in Advanced Blue Print Reading and Windows Excel.
During the years 1997 and 1999, Kurt also worked as a Counselors Aide to abused and D&A dependent children. He gained training in physiological seminars and Aikido Self Defense. Kurt has also spent many years coaching football, basketball, and soccer, competing in triathlons, including being an official for P.I.A.A. Basketball.
Throughout his almost 35 years in the concrete industry, Kurt has had many accomplishments. These accomplishments include erecting the Soldier and Sailors Monument in Gettysburg, which won the ABC Award of Excellence, working on the F&M College Field House and Natatorium, installing the gunite stream walls at Disney World Safari and the Canyon River Rapids Ride canyon walls at Hershey Park. Other jobs have included parking garages totaling over 100 million at Trenton Airport and various jobs at Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley airports.
Kurt prides himself on being an eclectic adventurer along with his wife, often experiencing different walks of life and adventures. He currently resides in Denver, PA with his wife, Kate and is the father to five children and the grandfather of two. When not exploring the world, Kurt enjoys all things outdoors and is the most relaxed when he is on the water.
After graduating from Reading Central Catholic High School in 2000, Jesse started his construction career as a framer. His career grew to include remodeling and finishing carpentry.
Jesse joined Forino as a carpenter in November of 2012 and has since added paving, concrete, and excavation to his tool belt! With this experience, Jesse was recently promoted to Project Manager in 2019.
Being a Berks County native, Jesse resides in Exeter Township with his wife and three children.
Martin joined Forino in February 2013 as a cost accountant following his graduation from Albright College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Martin is responsible for managing commercial, multi-family, & residential project accounting and revenue analysis. His role requires providing monthly financial reporting for Forino’s contractual projects to the firm’s stakeholders, President, and Vice President. Martin aids in various accounting processes of the Forino Company and its’ subsidiaries in addition to sitting on the board of multiple homeowner’s associations as a Secretary/Treasurer both Pennsylvania & South Carolina. Martin was promoted to Staff Accountant in 2015.
Prior to Forino, Martin spent 11 years in the construction field involved in commercial and residential roofing, metalwork, & exterior construction.
He resides in Sinking Spring with his wife, Meghan, two sons, and a daughter. Martin enjoys spending time with family, traveling, & gardening.
