Primary Duties

Primary Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting & Financial Reporting
    • Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple interrelated entities
    • Manage monthly close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of monthly financial statements
    • Maintain a chart of accounts and ensure accuracy of general ledger postings
  • Project & Cost Accounting
    • Set up and manage projects and budgets in the accounting system
    • Analyze job costs and ensure accuracy of cost allocations to general ledger
    • Generate and review job cost reports; flag variances and recommend corrective actions
    • Support project managers with ongoing financial analysis and reporting
    • Manage project billing cycles, including tracking and change orders
  • Accounts Receivable & Payable
    • Manage invoicing, collections, aging reports, and customer account reconciliations
    • Oversee processing of accounts payable, review invoices, issue checks and approve Positive Pay batches
  • Payroll & HR Support
    • Assist with weekly in-house payroll processing; provide backup support as needed
    • Maintain compliances for CDL drivers, including random testing, onboarding and online registrations
    • Help administer company health insurance plan and support various HR-related tasks
  • Fleet & Compliance Management
    • Track costs, usage, and insurance for company vehicles and equipment
    • Prepare and file heavy highway use tax filings (IRS Form 2290)

Requirements

  • Prior accounting or finance experience is required; construction industry experience is a major plus
  • Degree preferred but not required – we value experience and attitude
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial theory and financial analysis techniques required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other business-related software; experience with Viewpoint Spectrum is a strong advantage
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

Job Description

Forino Co., L.P. is looking for a dependable, driven individual to join our team full-time. We’re a fast-paced, evolving company that values collaboration and a strong team environment. This position reports directly to a Field Supervisor and includes a full benefits package: paid vacation, health insurance, 401(k), short- and long-term disability coverage, company provided shirts, and boot allowance.

The role involves working in various locations across Lancaster, Schuylkill, Berks, and Dauphin Counties. Key responsibilities and requirements include:

Responsibilities

  • Form, pour, finish, strip, and clean concrete forms to meet project specifications
  • Operate asphalt/concrete saw
  • Cutting and tying of rebar
  • Use hand tools to move gravel, soil, and assist equipment operators as needed
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a concrete laborer or finisher preferred but not required
  • Able to work outdoors for 8+ hours a day, including overtime, in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds
  • Must have a smartphone and reliable transportation with valid driver’s license

  • Conduct daily routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment, including checking oil, fluid levels, and tire condition
  • Perform excavation, backfilling, trenching, and site preparation for basements, utility yards, and other areas, ensuring all work meets grade specifications and site plans
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience operating heavy equipment, preferred but not required
  • Takes direction well, demonstrates strong time management, and is consistently reliable
  • Must have a smartphone and reliable transportation with valid driver’s license
  • Candidates who meet specific qualifications may be eligible for a company vehicle
