We are all experiencing pricing uncertainty given the current political and economic environment and we understand that when price increases happen they impact everyone’s bottom line if you do not react. Thus, we all need to adjust as quickly as possible to keep profit margins intact, especially heading into the slower months for many of us. Various notices of price increase to the Forino Co., L.P. are understandable given the market conditions, however, we cannot implement these to be effective immediately as some of you are indicating. We, too, need to protect our margins to stay profitable and continue providing business to all of our vendors, tradespersons, etc. We also have committed pricing to our end users based upon what your current quotes are when the particular job or home was started or sold. We do not have the luxury of changing the price to the end users after a price has been advertised or committed to; therefore we need you to operate within the same fashion.
We respectfully ask you that adhere to our new policy of a ninety (90) day adjustment period from the date we receive your price increase before the new pricing will take effect. We need this time to get our management team up to speed on how these increases will materially impact our ability to deliver our product and to ensure the best decisions regarding our own pricing structures.
